MMS Press Release: Katrina Shut in statistics

Well, well all is not well with oil and gas production in the Gulf of Mexico, even though weeks have past since Katrina and then Rita.

Hummm.

Some believe that Natural Gas and Oil prices have peaked. I think saying that before the peak heating season in January has come and gone is foolish.

W's pick to replace Dr. Greenspan...

Hope he has the guts to deal with a crisis, the contacts and understand the tools at his disposal.

He wasn't on the job three months when the Oct 87 crash hit Greenspan's Fed.

By all appearances, Bernanke looks to be a political animal, leaning towards currying favor with the Prez and the political class.

Time will tell, but this guy looks inflationary to me...

Trivia Question...

Ok kids, browsers ready?

Of Intel or Altria, which one generated the most net cash flows from operations over the last seven years?

Survey sez! Intel at $41,424 million versus $35,143 million for MO. Isn't that interesting!

The old smoking cash cow getting beaten out by a tech company, kinda blurs the line between value and growth doesn't it?

And Wall Street is fretting about Intel's margins contracting. Maybe bad news for the Go-Go Growth Stock crowd, but I know a number of folks that dig deep into the fundamentals who might be giving this very thing a hard look.

No investment recommendation here, just an example that the old "rules", well some of them might not work anymore.
